Our annual gathering is back. From every corner of England, we're coming together for Holy Mass, a bring-and-share feast and a Christmas party, all in one day.

It's our time to celebrate friendship, strengthen our bonds and share our blessings as one Duerohanon community here in the UK. Magkita ta sa Buckden!

Mga Duerohanon

The people of Duero

A Duerohanon is someone from Duero, a coastal town in Bohol. In Bisaya, adding -hanon to a place name means the people from there.

Whether you grew up in Duero, married into a Duerohanon family or simply count us as friends, this gathering is for you.

    Santos nga Misa

We begin the celebrations together at Mass in St Hugh's.

  3. After Mass

    • Welcome address

Over in the church hall, a warm welcome to everyone who's travelled to be here.

    • Bring-and-share feast

Kaon ta! With everyone bringing a dish and a dessert, there's always plenty to go round.

    • Performances and talents

Songs, dances and party pieces from all ages. Want a spot? Say so when you RSVP.

    • Parlour games

Fun and games for all ages, with prizes for the winners.

    • Raffle draw

Our raffle helps keep these gatherings going. Donated raffle prizes are very welcome.

    • Christmas gift exchange

Mahal nga Birhen

In honour of Our Lady

We gather on the weekend before the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, which falls on Tuesday 8 December. Under this title, Our Lady is the principal patroness of the Philippines, so there's no better way for us to prepare for Christmas together.

Unsay dad-on

What to bring

One dish and one dessert to share

As in previous years, it's a bring-and-share, so we're asking everyone to bring one of each. That way there's always plenty to go round.

Also very welcome

  • Extra food, drinks or snacks
  • Prizes for the raffle or the parlour games
  • A small wrapped gift, if you're joining the gift exchange
  • A tub for the pabalon, the food you take home
